Firm and full bodied throughout, this fine Margaux presents a complex palate of cassis, blackberries and other forest fruit. Mild tannins and hints of cedar and spice linger on the long, refined finish. Produced and imported in small quantities, this superb wine is one of Margaux’s undiscovered treasures. Manually harvested from gently sloping vineyards along the Gironde river, the Cabernet and Merlot grapes are fermented for up to five weeks before being transferred to small French oak barriques for 12 to 18 months before bottling.

This traditional Bordeaux is produced by a long-term family vineyard overlooking the town of Romagne above the Dordogne River. Red garnet, almost crimson in color, it is alive with red fruit and berry fragrances, very well structured and full in taste, with notes of wild cherries, and crushed red fruits. Firm on the finish, the wine is rounded off with slightly spiced tannins and a hint of oak. It is wonderful with roasted or grilled red and white meats, stews and cassoulets, as well as with a great variety of cheeses.

It is light bodied, with crisp acidity and pronounced notes of citrus and white fruit. One of Italy’s unique fine wines, grown by a long-term family vintner on hillsides where wine had been produced for thousands of years, this Lacrima di Morro d’Alba is a superb example of its D.O.C. appellation. Produced in a very limited area north of the ancient city of Jesi in Italy’s Marche region, it is intense red and violet in color, with strong notes of blackberry and blueberry blending nicely with fine floral characteristics.
